Thanks to the ongoing support of readers, contributors and advertisers across the Meander Valley, The North & Coast Post continues to evolve. We believe that strong, independent regional media must meet its community where they are — whether that’s in print, on a website, or on a screen.
Some people like to sit down with a newspaper and a cuppa. Others prefer to watch updates on a tablet or TV. Both matter. That’s why The North & Coast Post is now launching a 24/7 live YouTube news channel — a simple, always-on stream that brings our local stories, interviews and updates straight to your screen.
Letter to the Editor
We’ve already been uploading video interviews with community leaders, small business owners and local characters to our YouTube channel for several months. This is simply the next step. A curated, ongoing livestream of those interviews and more to come.
It’s kid-friendly, authentic and real. And designed to reflect the faces and voices of our region. Interviewing people on camera brings a certain honesty that’s hard to fake. You see emotion and you hear tone. It helps build trust and understanding of our stories.
All videos shown on the channel are produced by The North & Coast Post team and are updated as new interviews are filmed. In future, we hope to incorporate live segments such as current news, community notices and weather updates, expanding the service to become a hub for local video content.
You don’t need a subscription or a complicated setup. Just open YouTube on your TV, phone or tablet, search for The North & Coast Post, and hit play. You can also access the stream through our website.
In order for The North & Coast Post to continue to be financially sustainable, we need to reach right across the Meander Valley, on a range of platforms. This is about access, connection, and continuing to grow something that serves the whole community.
The stream is live now.
