St Distaff’s Day

St Distaff`s Day the day that the spinners and weavers went back to work after the Christmas break by tradition.

The Tasmanian Spinners Weavers and Dyers Guild have for some years celebrated the tradition by meeting at the Westbury Village Green for a day of Spinning and weaving under the trees.

They will gather from 9.00 am and usually share a picnic lunch.
