The Local Government elections are upon us once more, with a fixed-term election being held in October 2026.
Last month, I announced that I would be recontesting my seat on Council and running for Mayor of the Meander Valley. The last four years have been important for our community. We’ve enjoyed the highs and shared some lows. I head into this Council election with determination, because I know there is more work to be done.
Letter to the Editor
Over the past four years, Council has invested in our community, and I have worked hard to focus on the things that matter. Improving our footpath and road networks, boosting our tourism infrastructure, and supporting local events and community groups have been the core tenets of my time as a Councillor.
But like all things that are worth doing, they aren’t completed overnight. And with more work to do, I’m ready to seize the next four years and ensure we take big strides into a bright future.
I am committed to continued investment in our waste management systems, including expanding FOGO across our municipality, to the communities that want it, and supporting our rural residents with an expansion of kerbside collection.
Footpath networks are vital for lively, connected, and safe communities. We need to continue these investments to ensure our neighborhoods are safe and vibrant for all community members, especially our children.

And we need to take control of our Planning Scheme as best we can, by ensuring we have Structure Plans that reflect the will of the communities they are designed for.
With so much more to do, I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get back to work for you. With your support, I will do just that.
